The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Randolph County Center offers many in-person classes that you can attend to learn more about gardening topics. Check back here often for updated class information! These classes are held at local public libraries and our Cooperative Extension Center.

Growing Fruit in the Home Garden

Two classes will be offered in the fall at the Randolph County Extension Office pertaining to growing fruit in and around your home garden! There will be a class focusing on tree fruit production and one on small fruit production.

Tree Fruit Production Class: This class will primarily focus on growing apples, peaches, and pecans. Many of the same growing principles used to grow these fruits are used to grow other less common tree fruit.

Plant Propagation

These classes will teach you the basics of plant propagation for a variety of different plants! You’ll get to take a plant home as well! There is a nominal fee associated with this class. Space is limited to the first 20 participants.

Landscaping Classes: These classes will offer participants the opportunity to learn about landscape design and is perfect for the homeowner or small business owner that wants to landscape their own yard or site.

Houseplant Classes: These classes will teach participants about the basics of growing houseplants! We will discuss what plants grow well indoors, how to care for them, and more!
