Private pesticide applicators that have a North Carolina Pesticide License are required to get 4 hours of recertification training every 3 years. 2 of the hours are category X credits and 2 hours are category V credits. On the third year, you have until September 30th to get the credits for renewal. If you fail to get your credits, the license will expire and you will have to retake the exam to get a new license.
