Description:

*********** MUST BE A 4-H MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE ***********

Each year, Chef and the Child is one of the most popular summer camps that is offered. This year, we will still offer the program but in a virtual format. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in online virtual sessions offering kitchen safety, hygiene, proper cutting techniques, and interactive cooking sessions.

This virtual cooking camp is a great opportunity for beginner cookers to explore the kitchen and gain experience. Participants will be provided a list of items for purchase a week before camp start. We ask that these items are purchased in advance to make your experience successful.

This virtual camp will be hosted August 4, 5, and 6 via Zoom. A zoom link will be provided to those that have successfully registered for the event. This will be a secured link so we ask that you do not share this link outside of the responsible party.

When: August 4,5, and 6

Time: 10-12 ( some days may end earlier)

Ages: 11-13 ( with some parent assistance in the kitchen)

The virtual cooking camp will be hosted via Zoom each day.

We ask that each participant must be registered in 4-H online. If you are not a 4-H Member you may complete registration at www.nc4honline.com ( this is a requirement for participation)

Open to Forsyth County and Davidson County 4-H Members.

Hurry, only 50 spots are available for participation!

If you have any questions, please contact Monique Pearce-Brady, dmpearc3@ncsu.edu or Jami Lawhon, jclawhon@ncsu.edu.
