Join other K-8 classroom and nonformal educators as we explore activities in the Project Learning Tree K-8 Curriculum Guide. Every participant will leave the workshop with the PLT K-8 Activity Guide which includes 96 activities correlated to the NC Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards. The PLT activity guides are provided free of charge to participants through support from the NC Forestry Association. CEU renewal credits are available. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I in the EE Certification Program (K-8).

Differentiated instruction? Technology connections? Literature links? STEM? The PLT activity guide covers it all!!! The PreK-8 guide is correlated to the Common Core (math and ELA) as well as to the NC Essential Standards (science and social studies). Participants will learn about the materials through direct engagement in the PLT activities throughout the workshop. Please bring a bag lunch and prepare to be outside! More details, including parking, will be sent prior to the workshop.

Please make a personal commitment to attend to ensure there are enough materials and space for everyone. Parking directions will be sent prior to the workshop. Cancellations made by the registration deadline will receive a $10 refund. Cancellations after this date will not receive a refund.

Cooperative Extension – Randolph County Center is teaming-up with area organizations to recycle items not readily recyclable and not safe to toss in the trash.

Bring your old electronics, rigid plastics (like coolers), unused or out-of-date medicines for proper disposal between 8 and 12, and your sensitive documents for shredding between 9 and 12.
